Yeah, I know, I know… I surely didn’t invent anything and calling it the Mando Method is egotistical and unnecessary unless… you’re me.

I find it comforting. Shall we move on?

I am easily distracted by Facebook and e-mail and Twitter and a myriad of other time-sucks during my day when I should be writing.

I have a modest goal of 2,000 words a day, 5 days a week, for 10k a week, roughly 40k a month, and 520k for a year’s time. People ask me how it is possible to have 150+ releases for sale, and I point out my daily goal. Simple as that.

Except, it ain’t always simple.

Most days it feels like the pressure to write 2,000 words in an hour so I can go play is overwhelming. I just want to relax for a day and watch Netflix documentaries or read until I fall asleep…

The third installment in the “American Revenant” series follows a community of doomsday prepping families through the devastation of the zombie apocalypse. The survivors have already lost much in their search for a safe haven. In the midst of the devastation, they have begun to realize just how much they have left to lose.

Follow Gordon and the others as they struggle to gather more resources and fortify their new dwellings. Although they can grow food and purify caught rainwater, they have begun to realize that there are some things they simply can’t do without. Unfortunately, trying to collect medical supplies and discovering more about their surroundings puts the group at greater risk.

In this thrilling third volume, find out what it means to be a small society in the wake of total devastation. The survivors finally learn what loss truly feels like, and just how little they can rely on the decency of their fellow man.

“Horrors” How I See It

Something dark, slimy, gruesome crawls from below, sharp white teeth bared and ready to snap closed on an unsuspecting victim.  Those teeth will easily shred flesh; the jaws can crack bone, disturbingly sexual fleshy red lips seal around jagged shards of bone and draw out the marrow.
This nightmare beast isn’t something from a new horror movie, or a recent novel, it’s that thing inside the reader, that creature reveling in the dark tales of horror.  It’s one side of the bloody coin of fear we readers trade in when delving into a novel of terror.
The other side is the cowering thing, the one hiding from the beast, afraid of the darkness, afraid of the words.
When reading that truly terrifying novel and you find yourself turning on every light in the house, or pulling your feet up over…

My, us authors are an impatient lot. Over and over.

With the new change in Kindle Unlimited, I’ve seen some horrific comments on Facebook about how Amazon is going to kill their sales, and they aren’t author-friendly, and blah blah blah…

Amazon is a business. They are in the business of making money, not pandering to an indie author making them $50 in sales a month. Get real. If you want to jump ship and never use Amazon again, so be it… but there isn’t a viable alternative. I’m sure someone will jump up and ‘brag’ they sell more on SmashWords or Kobo or some other portal, but you’re a rare author indeed. The last time someone shouted about it I found out they sold about $100 a month on Kobo and $75 on Amazon. Under $200 in sales a month is not a career to me. It’s a fun…
