I’m not sure how I feel about doing this GoFundMe campaign, but to give my new book and the American Revenant series as a whole the best chance at success I feel I need to do it.  I write to tell a story, and I love doing it, but as a husband and father every thing I do leads back to my family.  I want to provide a quality life for them, and I also want to produce quality work that people can enjoy.  We, like many families these days, live paycheck to paycheck, and that is a situation I despise.  If, through this campaign, I can boost the chance of success for the series then I most certainly will do it, even if I dislike the thought of asking others for money to do it.  I believe my writing has merit, otherwise I would not even try to publish and sell it to the general public.  The market for independently published authors is a fast growing and rapidly changing one, and I feel that the only way to be truly successful in it is to stand out, to make one’s own work rise above the rest, in quality and appearance.

It is this thought that has moved me to start the GoFundMe campaign, in hopes that others may see the value in what I do, and why I do it, and possibly be generous enough to help me make happen that which I would be unable to on my own. Please share your thoughts with me on this, leave me a message or comment.  If you would like to check out my campaign, please do so here, My Campaign.
Thank you.

The second book of the American Revenant series is done!  Well, the first draft is, anyway.  If, at the end of the first story, you wanted more, then you’ll be getting it with the second book.  Three times as long, with much more character development, more zombies, more bad guys, more everything!  I know, I’m just as excited as you are to get the book into your hands, or on your Kindle.  (Print editions may be available at release, I’m working on that.)

Bear with me as I go through the edit and polish process, as this process may be longer than the actual writing of the book. You don’t want to waste your time on an error ridden, poorly finished novel, and I don’t want you to.  I want to deliver the best zombie apocalypse novel you will read next year, and to do that I intend to take the time to polish the book properly.

Thank you, my zombie fans and friends, for being patient, you won’t regret it.

Don’t forget to ask yourself; If the zombie apocalypse happened tomorrow, #CouldYouSurvive ?

Know where to run

Knowing when to run is key, but having someplace to run to is just as important.  If you have to run but have no place to go then, well, the zombies just might eat your face.  Choose several places, some close others farther away.  Once you have the place you need to ensure that when you get to that place there will be supplies waiting for you.  Have that cache stashed.

Plan Multiple routes to your places of safety, both from home and work.  Make sure that each family or group member knows every route by heart.  Run drills at least twice a year, so that everyone knows each route.

Those are the most basic of basics when thinking about knowing where to run.
